Unphotoshopping

The phrase 'the camera doesn't lie' seems like an ironic joke these days. In an era where a few clicks in Photoshop can take an image out of all reality, you can't trust a camera as far as you can throw it (I mean a really heavy camera).

All of which is why Henry Hadlow's series 'Tell a Lie', which subverts the proud tradition of Photoshopping, is our favourite thing right now. Henry takes traditional photography methods and an assortment of props to create 'faked' photography. The result is a series of images that look as if they've been Photochopped and diced - when in reality they haven't touched a whisker of Adobe.

Unless they in fact do turn out to be Photoshopped, in which case we admit it - we were tricked again.
