Ripple Tipple

Who would have ever thought getting involved could be so lazy... Ripple.org is an idea which almost puts the whole notion of activism on its head. It's grassroots and cybercables all rolled into one sleek, organic, machine that turns mouse clicks into cash for deserving people the world over.

Working with charitable foundations: WaterAid, OakTree Foundation, Oxfam and Grameen, Ripple hopes to change the way both business and individual go about making a difference.

The site runs on the premise that a corporate sponsor places an advertisement on the website that is viewed by Joe and Jill Public. Once Mr/Ms Public decide between the four options on the ripple.org homepage and click on either water, education, food or money they are presented with the advertisement and the money is shot off through the interweb to the charity responsible.

Easier than ordering a drink over the bar, Ripple lets you order the basics of life for a person who might consider them luxury.
