
No we haven’t suddenly forgotten everything Sesame Street taught us about spelling, it’s just an extravagant pun we thought entirely appropriate for this extravagant Nike project.
Artist Olle Hemmendorff, along with seven other artsy-type people were commissioned by Nike to put their spin on eight different Nike Sportswear icons. Dubbed the Air Max Royale in Sneaker Freaker, Hemmendorff explains that his icon, the Air Max 90, had a tradition of material innovation and he thought, more than any material, Hamburger was the “most durable and most delicious material known to man”.
That is a nice burger, we especially like the sauce detail to denote the air cushion.
