Australian Hip Hop group the Hilltop Hoods have gone into releasing sneakers now. Albeit briefly!

Word on the street is that the sneaker they put out with long-time supporters DC shoes has already sold out in many instances. The Hilltop Remix shoe takes a current model of shoe (DC Prides) and re-touches it with the group’s own flavour. At a glance the sneaker looks pretty stock but check the inside and you will find the group’s rhymes and lyrics in the graffiti scrawl of Adelaide artist Adrok.

The heel of the shoe also showcases special detail from John Engelhardt who does all the Hood’s album art. In an interview with Sneaker Freaker Magazine, MC Suffa said the group had complete creative control. “Basically,” said Suffa, “they (DC) asked us to select a model that we were in to, and to take it from there.” The shoe also comes with an exclusive Hilltop Hood’s CD.
