Is it a kookaburra...?

League of Australian Heroes

Long has Australia sat back and watched enviously as America enjoyed round-the-clock superhero protection. But now Oz has its own answer to Spiderman and Batman - the League of Australian Heroes. Cruising the streets in their souped-up Datsun (souped up as in "plus jet-engine"), this very real costumed troupe offers Aussies free "help for any aspect of (your) life". All you have to do is call.

The group, consisting of four costumed champions of justice, was formed in early 2008 in Melbourne for the express purpose of righting wrongs. Why a superhero group? Says the League: "There's a real stigma in Australia against admitting that you need help with something and we figure that if we go around dressed as superheroes people will be more likely to ask us for help". They may just be on to something.

For all your hero needs, check out the website or the blog - or get on that Hero-Phone right now on 0449 758 374.

Don't Mess With These Guys

Bloody hell these guys look fearsome!

At last Australia has a league of heroes we can count on! Forget the douche-bags in blue, we've got a whole rainbow of warriors just a text message away.

You know I'm actually thinking of getting into a dangerous situation just so I might call on their heroics.

Well

As it's been pointed out, all we have to worry about now is that a competing league of super-villans takes to the Aussie streets. Brrr.
